St. Anselm’s School was buzzing with excitement as it proudly presented Aavishkar 2023, The school exhibition that transcends the boundaries of traditional school events. This spectacular showcase of student talent and academic prowess promises an immersive experience for participants and visitors alike.

The event commenced with a ceremonial inauguration of ribbon-cutting, officiated by ten school principals of the town and other guests who shared inspiring words about the importance of fostering a culture of learning and creativity. The exhibition encompasses a diverse array of disciplines, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s the vibrant displays of art and craft, the riveting science experiments, or the captivating performances at the art and cultural pavilion, Aavishkar 2023 is a celebration of the multifaceted talents nurtured within the school community.

This multi-faceted event promises a celebration of human ingenuity and exploration across AI and Computer Science, Robotics, Sciences, Social Sciences, Language, Art and Culture, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Commerce, and Sports.

Aavishkar 2023 was a reflection, discovering and celebrating the unique gifts of each student. The exhibitions proved a unique opportunity for everyone to immerse themselves in the kaleidoscope of knowledge and discovery.

Best Out Of Waste

       

Parents turn out to buoy up the best out of waste contestants.

St. Anselm’s Sr. Sec. SchoolAbu Road: The young ebullient contestants of ‘Best Out of Waste’ were inspirited by the presence of parents during the competition held at the school premises on 21st October.

The event aimed at bringing an understanding among the children about preserving the environment by getting maximum practical benefits fromreusing and recycling waste products and to generate the minimum amount of waste.Fabulous ideas were demonstrated using materials like newspaper, old CDs, used plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles, shoe boxes etc.

Principal Fr. Dominic Mundatt opined that it was a great pleasure to see the enthusiastic parents who spent their valuable time and made a special bond with the children helping them display their creativity.The event was a huge success with participation of students, parents, and the inventive displays.

Convocation Day

   

ST. ANSELM’S SR. SEC. SCHOOL, ABUROAD CELEBRATED CONVOCATION DAY

St. Anselm’s Sr. Sec. School, Abu Road celebrated its Convocation Day- 2022-23 in its newly furnished auditorium. The celebrations started with the school band procession in which the dignitaries namely, Bishop Pius Thomas D’Souza of Ajmer Diocese, Rev. Fr. Dominic Mundatt the Principal, Rev. Fr, Joseph the Bursar, Rev. Sr. Shama Bundla Vice Principal and the heads of various departments were ushered to the venue. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary invocation song and lighting of the lamp, the principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculties and prize winners.

The Chief Guest Bishop Pius Thomas D’Souza of Ajmer Diocese, in his address pointed out that learning is a continuous process by the hard work and dedication by teachers in shaping the students as responsible citizens of the country. His excellency appreciated the school management for maintaining high standards in education and helping the nation for moulding the young generation of the society.

This was followed by the distribution of proficiency awards to the highest scorers of the year 2022-23. Chief Guest and principal awarded the students with shields as well as cash awards. The highest scorers of CBSE board exams were awarded specially introduced cash awards viz. Fr. Mathew Alakkalam Memorial Award (for 12th topper), Fr. Joseph Paredom Memorial Award (for 10th topper) other awards included St Anselm’s Award (for highest scorers of class 1-9 and 11) and Management’s Award (for full attendance).

The award night was vividly colourful with various dances of students. In this ceremony, 112 students from classes nursery to 12th received their Proficiency awards. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the students and their parents. The school head boy, Shivam Jha proposes the vote of thanks and the function concluded with the national anthem followed by the display of the band set.

Food Without Fire

       

Innovative food preparations win hearts of parents and students.

Cooking can happen even without fire! Students ofSt. Anselm’s Sr. Sec. School, Abu Roadexhibited their culinary skills in ‘Food without Fire’ in the school campus. This eventprovided a platform for the studentsto foster their creativity, presentation skills and also helped students to discover their new areas of interest in food technology.Mothers of participants have expressed their support for this initiative by attending and encouraging their wards. This event not only showcased the talents of the students but also promoted strong bonding between a motherand child. According to Principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Mundatt “It was a great way to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame.”

The young chefs displayed their talent by presenting numerous innovative dishes. Overall, 16 teams participated in the competition in which 8 teams were from junior section and 8 teams were from senior section respectively.Expert chefs from Sun Hotel judged the preparations of commis chefs. Every team gave a tough competition for others.The dishes prepared were presented in an artistic way which was most appealing, and the display were a visual treat for the eyes and tickling to the taste buds.

Garba Evening

       

SPINNING AROUND & AROUND WITH JOY

Unity is the essence of any Indian festival. Inculcating a sense of culture and unity We the Anselemites portraited colour, action, music and togetherness by orgainizing Garba Evening with the help of perfect traditional attires. All the students, Faculty and the staff members celebrated the day, with joy and cheer. It was a colourful event with teachers joining the students enthusiastically in their dance. More than hundreds students actively participated. The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colorful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dancing to the Garba folk songs made the entire evening extremely successful and fruitful. The event became an excellent example of celebration of tradition with joy and fervor at its fullest along with the discipline of the students.

This day was a day of bonding where the gathering, the celebration,and the dance etched a unique combination signifying the diversity of Indian culture. This is something St. Anselm's school values immensely. Joint efforts of Rev. Fr. Principal, coordinator, Monthly incharges, the students and smooth coordination of activities made the event successful.

Grand Parents Day Celebration

   

St. Anselm’s Sr. Sec. School, Abu road Organises Grandparents Day Celebration

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance.”

Grandparents make the world a little softer, a little kinder, and a little warmer. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation. To honour them, St. Anselm’s Sr. Sec. School, recently celebrated Grandparents Day. Our school continues to install values even in these unprecedented times through the means of gatherings. The day was filled with oodles of blessings, happiness, excitement and cheer as the shining stars of Anselm’s shown their love and affection to the grandparents. The motive behind this program was to honour grandparents for all the sacrifices they make for their families.

The grandparents of the students studying in classes 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were invited to share their life lessons. All of them were welcomed by students and were seated in the newly furnished auditorium. Under the admired presence of grandparents, teachers and students, Rev. Fr. Dominic Mundatt Principal inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Fr. Joseph the Bursar, Sr. Kshama Vice Principal and renowned faculties coordinate the event more effectively. Principal addressed the gathering and reiterated the role of grandparents in all our lives.

The paragon of the entire event was the retro packed performances by the students. The performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized. The children were very excited to show their love for their grandparents and it was reflected in their faces while they were performing. The program was concluded with valuable words of grandparents. They appreciated and shared their views on the effort of school management to arrange this memorable event.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 'Meri Maati Mera Desh'

       

Amrit Kalash Yatras under 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' Campaign culminated with grand Rally is St. Anselm's-

A grand Rally was organised as a part the finale programme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Commemoration around RIICO Colony by the young Students of St. Anselm's on September 30 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The programme envisaged paying tributes to all those veers and viranganas Who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.

Earlier in the assembly principal Fr. Dominic Mundatt addressed the students and urged them the 'need of unity in diversity'. Students have taken solemn pledge covering Panch Pran of the Hon'ble Prime minister, affirming their commitment to the country.

As a part of MMMD, soil (Mitti) was collected from student's households as symbolic contribution and expression of people's participation towards the creation of an Amrit Vatika in Delhi. Saplings were planted by students representatives in the school Premises. Teachers and student participated in the campaign via various cultural programmes a patriotic singing.
